In any case, the church in its original form has not survived. The original structure was wooden.

The modern complex was built in 1905. The first domes were made of mosaic. Until recently, they were just gray. In the mid-2000s, the dome became gilded.

During the Civil War, the bell tower was destroyed. In Soviet times, the building was used for economic purposes. The church had a cinema for some time.
