The Ivan Kotliarevskyi Estate Museum is a memorial complex in Poltava on the basis of the estate where the founder of the new Ukrainian literature Ivan Kotliarevskyi was born in 1769. The estate is entered in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine as a monument of national importance.
The museum-manor was opened in 1969, declared the year of Ivan Kotliarevskyi by UNESCO, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the poet. Reproduction of the complex was carried out according to the watercolor sketch of Taras Shevchenko. Reconstruction was carried out by architect V. Tertychnyi.
At the entrance to the courtyard - a memorial plaque with the inscription: "The estate of I.P. Kotliarevskyi. The land of inspiration of the great poet. Here he shone the star of new Ukrainian poetry. From here came to immortality "Aeneid", "Natalka Poltavka", "Muscovite-magician". Taras Shevchenko, Mykola Gogol, Mykhailo Shchepkin, Lesia Ukrainka, Panas Myrnyi, Marko Kropyvnytskyi, Maria Zankovetska, and many other cultural figures worshiped Ivan Hill.
