Poltava Literary and Memorial Museum of I. Kotliarevskyi hosted the presentation of the exhibition "These are rare and ancient things" (from the artist Ivan Kotliarevskyi): household items of the 1810s from the scientific and rescue research of the site of the historic Ltava hillfort on Ivanova Gora in Poltava (research of the Poltava archaeological expedition of the National Research Center "OASU" of the National Academy of Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences).
Ceramic, earthenware, glass, metal products, organic fossil materials found during excavations are presented in the exhibition.

These are objects of the historical period of I.P. Kotlyarevskyi: deep and shallow dinner plates, saucers and their fragmented parts, wine bottles, broken glass bottles, fragments of jars, glasses, glasses, lids from a tureen, fragments of a round shutter, fragments of a rectangular shutter, shell sashes, metal belt buckle. A total of 79 items.
The exhibition of archeology items was presented by Viacheslav Sherstiuk, director of the Center of Archeology of Poltava Oblast, Oleksandr Suprunenko, director of the Poltava Local History Museum named after Vasyl Krychevskyi, Vitalyi Salnikov, art. researcher of the Center and Yulia Derkach, researcher of the Center.
All items presented at the exhibition were handed over to the Poltava Literary and Memorial Museum of I. Kotlyarevsky for permanent preservation by the Poltava Archaeological Expedition of the SE NDC "OASU" of the National Academy of Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences.
All objects are in the main circle of museum interest as exposition and exhibition material. They will be studied by museum specialists in order to professionally complement museum tours by adding unique archaeological finds.
The exhibition of archaeological materials will be open for a month - until November 10, 2023.
