"Former Poltava cadets in the service of the young Ukrainian state (1917-1921)" was the name of the thematic round table dedicated to the 173rd anniversary of the birth of the famous Poltava researcher, archivist, museum curator Ivan Pavlovskyi. The meeting took place on January 19, 2024 in the museum of the history of the Battle of Poltava, with the participation of students of the city's educational institutions. The participants of the event characterized the phenomenon of Ukrainianism in the education system of the Petrovsky Poltava cadet corps, focused on the activities of former Poltava cadets - Borys Palia-Neil, Mykola Gogol-Yanovskyi, Mykola Butovych, Petro Yeroshevych, Serhii Diadiusha, as well as a graduate of the Chuguyiv Military College, a native of the historical Poltava Region Averkia Honcharenko. All of them were prominent military commanders of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic, they entered the service of the young Ukrainian state (1917-1921). Restoration of historical truth, disclosure of unknown pages of Ukrainian history - the goal of such events.
