On May 15, 2024, on the basis of the Poltava Vocational College of Arts named after M.V. A tourist and museum forum was held in Lysenko on the occasion of the International Day of Museums. Forum participants discussed a wide range of issues related to topical topics, especially taking into account modern challenges in the field of tourism: discussion of the role of mental health in war conditions, training of tourism specialists in conditions of global changes, development of green rural tourism, preservation of cultural heritage through tourism and more. The head of the tourism and cultural heritage department of the DKMS of the PMR, Vitaliy Pavlov, gave a report on the museum profile of the basic network of cultural institutions of the Poltava city-territorial community based on the results of statistical observations in 2023. Emphasizing that the development of tourism during the war is a difficult task, however, even in such conditions, the work of museum institutions plays an important role in the economic, cultural and social recovery of the region.
