The State Agency for the Development of Tourism of Ukraine has developed Methodological recommendations for entities that conduct tourist activities (excursion services), tourism support specialists regarding the provision of information in formats accessible to persons with disabilities (translation into Ukrainian sign language, subtitling, audio commentary and other formats of providing information for reading and communication). The document aims to ensure that travel support specialists provide information in accessible formats for persons with disabilities.
The recommendations cover a number of important aspects, including the adaptation of excursion programs for people with visual, hearing and mobility impairments. The use of audio guides, tactile exhibits, subtitles and other modern solutions that ensure the accessibility of tourist facilities for all population groups is also foreseen.
