The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, with the support of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine and financial assistance from the Government of Japan, organized a series of regional workshops entitled “Tourism Strategy Builder: A Practical Tool for Rapid Community Recovery.” The second workshop was held in Poltava, where representatives from Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Sumy and Donetsk oblasts learned how to use the “Constructor” to create their own tourism development strategies, which will create new jobs, develop infrastructure and attract investment. At the workshop, participants learned how to strategically plan tourism development, set priorities, mobilize resources, and formulate clear goals.
The event brought together experts responsible for tourism policy in their communities. They worked on developing strategic goals, planning activities to achieve them, and on monitoring and evaluation systems. Each participant received the necessary tools to create projects aimed at developing infrastructure and attracting investment in the tourism sector.
Similar workshops have already been held in Cherkasy, and events are planned for Lviv and Kyiv in the coming months.
