Every year on August 24, we celebrate the greatest holiday of our statehood — Ukraine's Independence Day. This is not just a date on the calendar, but a day that reminds us of the price of freedom, of the path our people have walked through centuries of trials, struggles, and hopes.
Today, independence is not an abstract word. It is the right to speak your own language, preserve your culture, and live on your native land under a peaceful sky. It is the courage and self-sacrifice of those who defend the country on the front lines and the daily work of millions of Ukrainians who are shaping its future.
For Poltava and all of Ukraine, this day is another opportunity to unite in a common desire: to see our country free, strong, and prosperous. We believe that victory, reconstruction, and a new page in our history, filled with pride and light, lie ahead.
Happy Independence Day!
May the love for our homeland, faith in justice, and confidence in tomorrow burn in the hearts of each of us.
