From September 22 to 27, 2025, Poltava hosted the seventh European Heritage Days, a joint project of the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine. This year's theme was “Architectural Heritage: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future.”
Throughout the week, residents and visitors to the city had the opportunity to take part in themed tours, museum events, creative meetings, and interactive events that revealed the richness of Poltava's architectural and cultural heritage. These included tours led by researchers from the literary and memorial museums of I. Kotliarevskyi, V.G. Korolenko, and Panas Myrnyi, literary and musical evenings at the Art Museum (Art Gallery) named after M. Yaroshenko, and even trolleybus tours of the city.
Each event provided an opportunity for open dialogue, new discoveries, and the exchange of experiences. Poltava has once again demonstrated that its heritage is not only a treasure of history, but also the foundation for modern development and inspiration for future generations.
