On the occasion of World Tourism Day and Tourism Day in Ukraine, on the initiative and with the support of First Deputy Mayor Valeryi Parkhomenko, employees of Poltava's municipal museums went on an educational trip to Cherkasy Region.
The route began in Pereiaslav (Kyiv region) — a city with a rich history and unique Baroque architecture. Here, the museum workers visited the Hryhorii Skovoroda Memorial Museum (Pereiaslav Collegium), the Taras Shevchenko Testament Historical Museum, and the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Middle Dniper Region. Each location provided new knowledge and a deep immersion into Ukrainian cultural heritage.
A special part of the trip was a visit to the Shevchenko National Reserve in Kaniv. This place is sacred to every Ukrainian, as it is where Taras Shevchenko found his final resting place on 22 May 1861. The museum workers from Poltava climbed Tarasova Hora with sincere awe, paid their respects at the grave of the Great Kobzar, and gained genuine intellectual and spiritual satisfaction from the excursion.
This trip was not only an opportunity for professional enrichment, but also a source of inspiration that connected the museum workers of Poltava with the immortal power of Ukrainian history and culture.
