In June of this year, as soon as possible in the conditions of martial law caused by Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, the municipal museums of Poltava resumed their services. For the most part, excursion service takes place in the open air on the territory of the museum estates or through the streets of the central historical part of the city.
The Literary Memorial Museum of V.Korolenko (https://cutt.ly/sLaUcTS) held almost twenty different cultural and educational events. Among them: thematic excursions related to the social activities of the writer in Poltava and Ukraine, master classes on making a flower doll, dendrological excursions to the memorial garden of Korolenko, etc.
During the first summer month, more than a hundred people used the museum's services, the lion's share of whom were internally displaced people from southeastern Ukraine.
In general, in the month of June, the city's museum industry served almost 2,000 people for the total amount of provided paid services of about 50,000 UAH. Internally displaced persons are served free of charge.
