At the state level, Ukraine celebrates the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhoriy Savych Skovoroda. The date of the anniversary of the famous Ukrainian was included in the list of UNESCO anniversary dates in 2022.
Hryhoriy Savych Skovoroda is an outstanding philosopher, teacher, poet, composer, musician, whose figure is a symbol of Ukrainian cultural heritage. He had high achievements and a brilliant education, but he renounced the world and career growth. Instead of family comfort, he chose the fate of a traveling philosopher and for 25 years visited many cities and villages of Ukraine, expressing his philosophical views through songs, cantatas and psalms, denouncing social evil, glorifying nature and the freedom of man.
