Supporting the international flash mob on social networks, Poltava municipal museums, namely: Poltava Battle Field Art Museum, Art Museum (art gallery) named after M. Yaroshenko, I. Kotlyarevsky Literary Memorial Museum, I.P. Manor Museum. Kotlyarevskyi, Literary Memorial Museum of V.G. On January 18, 2023, Korolenko and the Literary Memorial Museum of Panas Myrny will all take part in the action. During this day, visitors are granted the right to enter the above-mentioned museums and take photos with museum exhibits free of charge.
Museum Selfie Day means that anyone can take a photo on any mobile device (smartphone or tablet) against the background or next to a museum exhibit and post the photo on their Facebook or Instagram page with the hashtags #MuseumSelfieDay and #MSDPoltava2023 .
The promotion has two caveats:
- it is strictly forbidden to use a flash when taking photos, because it harms museum rarities;
- a selfie taken in the museum cannot be used as a tool of political agitation or opposition.
Authors of the best selfies, selected by the above-mentioned museums, will be awarded with an information and presentation set "Poltava Tourist".
