Velyko -Tyrnovo

In Bulgaria, on the hillside is located beautiful city of Velyko Tarnovo, which was founded in the 5th century. In ancient times, the city, located in the valley of the Yantra River, was the capital of the state, today it attracts travelers with outstanding architectural monuments. The city is located in an incredibly difficult mountainous area, actually built on the slopes of the gorge. Its main symbol is the ancient fortress, the city has a well-preserved historic district.
The city's buildings are cascaded on terraces, many historic buildings today are home to museums and art galleries.
