The MERIDIAN POLTAVA International Poetry Festival is a tribute to the victims of the Battle of Poltava. Poltava is poetry, but poetry is a requiem. The festival should give a new connotation to the word "Poltava" and answer the question of what this city is today
MERIDIAN POLTAVA is a three-day cultural walk through Poltava, Reshetylivka and the battlefield of Poltava with stops in places that represent the region for poetic readings and performances.
The purpose of the festival is to unite the community of Poltava and the region - activists, journalists, creative and scientific intelligentsia, business, politics and government - in order to achieve a common goal - to create a modern intellectual and cultural face of the city.
Numerous poetic readings, lectures, discussions, book presentations, poetic walks, musical-poetic and theatrical performances take place during the festival.
A festival that brings together the best writers from Ukraine, Sweden, Germany and other countries.
