The House of Poltava Provincial Presences is an architectural monument of national importance located in the eastern sector of the Round Square. Built according to a typical project of architect Andrian Zakharov in the style of classicism. Initially, the building occupied only the middle part of the site, and on the sides was a brick fence with two symmetrically located gates. Later, the side wings were completed close to the middle building.
During the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, most of the provincial institutions were located here: the provincial administration, the Order of Public Charity, and the state chamber, in which, in particular, Panas Myrnyi worked.
In 1943, the house burned down and was rebuilt between 1948 and 1952.
Since 1952 and until today, the building houses the Poltava City Council.
