NGO "Amateur Theater " Malafeya " is a large creative platform on which various theatrical projects are implemented: performances; immersive excursions; ethnographic holidays; programs adapted for children with disabilities; the basics of theatrical art master classes for children, their involvement in performances and much more.
Currently, the NGO staff is stable and has more than 30 adult participants and 15 children. Theatrical art for most participants is a means of creative self-realization and integration of own resources in creating a quality cultural space of Poltava. Among the highlights of the theater: inclusive development programs for children "The wooden house", "Mermaid"; online master classes of the basics of acting for children of preschool and primary school age; immersive bicycle tours "Poltava through Korolenko point of view ", "Sports movement in Poltava of the XIX-XX centuries","Bicycle ride to the dacha of Korolenko". In order to preserve folk traditions, the ethnographic holidays "Kalyta", "Ivana Kupala", "Generous Evening" are recreated. To popularize the literary heritage of writers associated with Poltava region (M. Gogol, V. Korolenko, Lesia Ukrainka, M. Starytskyi) theatrical projects were implemented: "The Night Before Christmas", "Drowned", "Where Do Children Come From", "Forest Song"," For two hares", " Vii "and others.
The focus of the repertoire selection is usually focused on classical dramatic works and stories, which in the process of the rehearsal period acquire a new image, close to the modern audience.
Combining creativity, innovative approach and sensual-emotional performance, Malafeya Theater has gathered more than 5,000 spectators in recent years. All projects are implemented by NGOs and with the support of theater partners.
2018
A feature of the theater is the non-standard choice of venues for performances. In the warm season, performances take place on open stages, mostly in the natural area or near historical sites. In addition, "Malafeya" is distinguished by its special contact with the audience, building a relationship where each viewer feels like a member of a large family with whom they communicate, drink tea or go camping.
