Puppet Theater in Poltava - one of the oldest such theaters in Ukraine, began its activities in the late 30s of the XX century. The first performance took place in October 1938.
Poltava Puppet Theater has a rich and diverse repertoire, which includes drama of Ukrainian and world classics, national folklore, works by modern authors. The highly professional team is the leading masters of the theatrical stage, who with bright and convincing acting instill in the souls of children faith in the invincibility of good, in magic, in miracles, in the power of the art of puppet theater.
In March 1978, the Poltava Puppet Theater received its current premises - "Palace of Fairy Tales", which is the first building in Ukraine, built specifically for the needs of the puppet theater. The theater is an active participant not only in all-Ukrainian and international festivals, but also since 2013 the organizer of the International Theater Project "Star Trek" for theater groups from countries near and far abroad.

The theater supports the tradition of exchange tours with theatrical groups of Ukraine. Also, the Poltava Puppet Theater takes an active position in supporting the citizens of Ukraine living in the war zone, visiting the area of environmental protection with a volunteer mission.
