Description

     A memorial sign to People's Artist of Ukraine Raisa Kyrychenko was opened in Poltava on October 13, 2012, near the administrative building of the "Ltava" ODTRK, where the singer recorded her songs.
     The guardian of Ukrainian song is depicted in her famous dress with wings and with her arms wide open. The words from the song are engraved on the pedestal: "I give you, people, for happiness and everyday life, the song that I took to heart from childhood." On the sides, there are Ukrainian symbols iconic for the singer's work: a viburnum wreath with ribbons, rushnyk, a bandura and a violin. The authors of the monument are the architect Yurii Oliinyk and the sculptor Mykola Tsis.

     Raisa Kyrychenko (October 14, 1943 — February 9, 2005) — singer (mezzo-soprano), teacher, People's Artist of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine, laureate of the award named after D. Lutsenko "Autumn gold", laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine named after T. H. Shevchenko, Knight of the Order of Princess Olga and Mykola the Wonderworker.
    Creativity: "Churaivna", "I'm your Cossack", "Women's fate", "Mama's cherry" - all these songs performed by Raisa Kyrychenko are known not only in Ukraine, but also far beyond its borders. Her singing was admired by listeners in Canada, Australia, Germany, Poland, the Philippines, Algeria, Tunisia, etc.
     The following albums were released: "Oh, I'm beautiful, beautiful" (1990), "Cherry blossoms" (1995, 2000), "The fate of my village" (1995), "I'm your Cossack" (2002 .), "The Road to Heritage" by Dmytro Lutsenko sung by Raisa Kyrychenko" (2003), "My sweet friend" (2008), "Our fate has two wings" (2008).
