The memorial complex of Cossack glory is located on a historical site. The monument in honor of the Ukrainian Cossacks, who bravely defended their native land from the enemy, is located in the northwestern part of the village of Zhuky, on a small hill on the second terrace of the right bank of the Zhukiv stream. The rise rises to a relative height of about 8 m above the floodplain and dominates above the crossroads of the still existing roads of the 19th century - the beginning of 20th century to the villages of Ivonchentsi, Brychkivka and Bershadske. This is one of the ancient historical corners of the vicinity of the village of Zhuky, the limit of its development in Cossack times.
The modern monument was created during 1995-2014. On the site located on the rise, there are: Memorial sign in honor of the Cossack chronicler Samiilo Veliychko (1995, architects B. Zolotnytskyi, V. Volvach); Memorial sign to Slovak educator Daniel Krman (2007, project authors G. Bulak, M. Nevrli, D. Hrybok; artists S. Studzyinskyi, O. Moiseiev, L. Oleshko); Holy Intercession Church (built in 2009, architect V.Sarana); a sculptural representation of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary on a pedestal installed on a low earthen mound (2014). In this territory in the 17th century. a wooden Intercession Church was built (the first mention dates back to April 20, 1636), after its destruction a brick one was built (1770), which was finally dismantled in the 1960s. Around the church there was a historically formed cemetery with an approximate area of 0.2 0.3 ha.
